When I was in High School I had a religion teacher who told us that when we get to heaven God was going to play our life story as a movie in front of everybody there. Since we were there for eternity this would not be a problem. I never actually believed him but it still haunted me!
I had to come to the realization that God does not file my sin's away in a Ferris Bueller type "permanent record"
He forgives them. He eradicates them. He does not cover them, he eliminates them.
We need to live like that. We don't need to worry about our past mistakes, we need to focus on relentlessly following Jesus Christ.
Colossians 2:13-14 says, "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross."
