Right now somewhere in Uganda there is a mother carrying a child. She may or may not know it. If she does know she is no doubt scared and has now idea how she is going to take care of this baby.
Right now this child is coming into a world of generational poverty, AIDS, unstable governments, lack of food, lack of water, lack of education, and lack of hope.
Right now this baby is going to be an orphan along with 1 in every 6 other people in Uganda.
Right now there is a dad who is the father of that baby. He may or may not ever know it. He may end up being one of the 360 people who will die of malaria in Uganda today.
Right now the baby has been in the womb for a few months and is developing perfectly in spite of the craziness on the outside.
Right now there is an orphanage in Uganda that is overcrowded but they will take this baby in a few months anyway.
Right now Rachel and I are planning on going to pick this baby up in June of 2010.
Please say a prayer for us as we enter this journey! There will be many more details to follow.
That's awesome, Brad! Let us know if we can do anything else to help!
